Just when the Danube flood was reaching its peak because of the Moldavia inundations, some torrential rain hit Cernavoda area, leaving half the town and our kennel under water. The pictures we show are like the ones in 2006: if we could find the funds to move the kennel on the hill, maybe we did not have to see them anymore. The Romanian staff is living dramatic hours trying to rescue the animals: many have been freed from the enclosures, even risking not to find them back, to prevent them from drowning. We had to buy a second pump though it is not enough for the emergency, as the whole kennel is surrounded by water.
We ask our supporters and associations who help us not to leave us alone in this difficult moment, which adds to the dramatic events of the last three months, that is since the Cernavoda strays are barbarously killed.
Whoever wants to help us face the expenses for the flood can donate with “flood” as an object through our bank accounts or by credit card.
