Most of our distance adoptions is for dogs but there are also beautiful cats who need support and care. The stray cat situation in Romania is not as dramatic as the stray dogs’. However, in many cases sheltering some cats in our facilities is necessary. For this reason, STD built a cattel inside our Cernavoda shelter where our friends can peacefully wait for a foreign adoption. Like dogs, this is not always possible. Also many cats indeed have a traumatic past and in some cases the result is such a suspicious temper that they cannot enter a family. This is why we decided for a distance support program also for them.
HOW TO ADOPT A CAT AT DISTANCE
The 10 euro a month contribution, necessary for a cat adoption, can be paid in one instalment or more than one (monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, six-monthly).
By Credit Card
By credit card
In all cases please specify your post address and e-mail (if you have one) besides the cause “Adopt a stray cat”, which is necessary to give your contribution to the distance support.
As soon as we receive your first payment, we will send you by regular mail an adoption certificate, some pictures and the story of your “whiskered friend”. Besides, every six months at least, you will be updated about his/her progress via e-mail or mail. Our hope is to give you soon the news about the “real” adoption of your protected one and in this case, you will be proposed with another pet in need to support at distance.
Like for dogs, also for cats there may be more than one distance adoption for each animal and this is because we are able to take care of all the cats in the cattel in equal ways. To learn about this aspect read the note of our president Sara Turetta on the distance adoptions.
