Most of our distance adoptions is for dogs but there are also beautiful cats who need support and care. The stray cat situation in Romania is not as dramatic as the stray dogs’. However, in many cases sheltering some cats in our facilities is necessary. For this reason, STD built a cattel inside our Cernavoda shelter where our friends can peacefully wait for a foreign adoption. Like dogs, this is not always possible. Also many cats indeed have a traumatic past and in some cases the result is such a suspicious temper that they cannot enter a family. This is why we decided for a distance support program also for them.

HOW TO ADOPT A CAT AT DISTANCE
The 10 euro a month contribution, necessary for a cat adoption, can be paid in one instalment or more than one (monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, six-monthly) in different ways:
