About a hundred of friends and supporters of STD met on Friday at the restaurant Samsara in Brugherio, near Milan, to greet in view of the forthcoming festivities. The event has been animated with the sale of gadgets and natural beauty products of Fiori di Luce, but also with the engaging lottery of Roberto Cavallo and with an improvised auction. The President of STD, Sara Turetta, did not attend because of a bad low back pain. The Vice-President Paola Lazzarini updated the guests on the closing down of the shelter in Calarasi (now completed) and on the economic difficulties that the association is facing in this period. Great participation of people and quadrupeds for the conference of Sara Turetta which took place last 14 October in Rivera, in the neighbourhood of Lugano. About a dozen romenian dogs adopted through the “Protezione Animali” of Bellinzona were present, together with the STD responsible for adoptions in Switzerland.
Many dogs came to visit Save the Dogs’s stand during the Blessing of the Animals Ceremony in Monza. Among the four-legged visitors were a number of dogs that had come from our shelters in Romania.
Dario, in the photo below (click here to read his story), was the third prize winner in the El Maltrainsema category of the Fantasy Dog and Cat Contest that was held that day.

Thanks to the invitation on behalf of the Association, Isola del Vagabondo, we were also present at the Animals in Festa event held in Mirandola. Save the Dogs’ Vice President, Paola Lazzarini was also there.

We thank the associations that hosted us during their initiatives and the volunteers that worked at our stands.
Not even the bad weather could stop the Swedish adoptive families who met in Stockholm on the 22nd of August, together with the Hundhjalpen association volunteers. For the occasion, Lili Dragut (responsible for the Save the Dogs adoptions in Romania) and Alina Vasile, our Medgidia vet (accompanied by five doggies). Click here to see the photos of the event.
