In 2004 we began neutering animals in the nearby town of Medgidia, located 20 km from Cernavoda. In 2005, after an official agreement was reached with the city council, the poisonings stopped.
The neutering/spaying centre is housed in a small building which is not fit to meet the project’s current requirements. However, it represents an interim solution in the hopes that someday we will have a proper veterinary clinic. At present, the clinic’s maximum patient capacity is 40, with 20 animals in the post-operatory ward and another 80 animals in temporary external pens.
