In this category we show pictures of some dogs who came to Cernavoda and Medgidia shelters in particularly serious conditions and who escaped from a bad destiny.
Some of them came to Save the Dogs in very bad psychological conditions, after being chained for years and a stunted living. The “after” change for these dogs was all in their trasformed look: a look belonging to a happy dog, who is respected by the Save the Dogs staff or loved by his new family, wether the dog has been included in one of our international adoption programs. Others came in dramatic physical conditions: starving, injured, hit by cars and so on. In these cases the cange has been both psychological and physical, thanks to the veterinary care that Save the Dogs can provide.
What is always surprising is seeing how in most cases these animals can “turn over a new leaf”, forgetting the pain and violence suffered, to fully enjoy a new living. All these dogs, with no exception, would be dead on the streets or because of unscrupolous owners: only Save the Dogs, completely due to your precious financial support, allow us to give a new chance to futureless creatures.
Suzie: after many years of chain, her owner “dumped” her at Save the Dogs shelter. In the second picture: Suzie in Sweden where she has been adopted through Hundhjalpen, one of Save the Dogs partners.
