Approximately a month ago we restarted the activities of our mobile clinic, the camper that every week reaches many rural villages in Medgidia and Cernavoda areas to neuter dozens of owned animals with no charge. During last week we went to Pestera and Rasova, very poor towns by the river Danube.
Here we intervened with the help of our equine mobile unit, becoming an “aid center” for dogs, cats and horses with owners. The mayor himself came forward to neuter his dogs on the occasion of our team’s visit. In this way Save the Dogs is not only trying to win the trust of people, who normally would not have access to any kind of veterinary services but also to form a bond with the community in the provincial areas.
The financial restrictions that Save the Dogs is facing will force us to limit the missions of our mobile clinic to one day/week; we wish to remind that the clinic is a fundamental instrument in prevention of the killing of the new-born cats and dogs and their abandon in Cernavoda and Medgidia. People, in fact, are generally convinced that the abandoned animals may surely find food in these towns.
You are welcome to make a contribution here to help us continue our activities of our mobile clinic:
