Rosie is one of the thousands of dogs in Romania who live their lives tied to a chain, destined to have a difficult life that offers nothing outside of endless boredom.
We don’t know if this lovely animal managed to free herself on her own, or if her owner gave her up, but one thing was certain: instead of a collar Rosie had a wire around her neck.
Upon being seen by a lady in Cernavoda, who gives food to a pack of stray dogs daily, we were asked to intervene and to help the animal. An hour later Rosie was at our centre, where she underwent a surgery, in order f to remove the wire from the nasty scar.
As Rosie has a very friendly character and she does not belong to any group of stray dogs, we decided to keep her at our centre, and to sign her up for adoption through our Swedish partners from Hundhjalpen. In short time that chain and the wire that caused her that ugly injury will be nothing more but a memory, thanks to the STD and to its partners.
