Non Uno Di Troppo

It's never too late to start a new life
Campania

We sterilized over 200 dogs in Italy in 2020, thanks to our collaboration with the Oreste Zevola Animal Welfare Association.

Antonella’s field work has allowed us to intercept the neediest dogs in the area between Licola and Castelvolturno, vets Francesco and Angela have looked after them, and trainer Maria is now preparing them for a new life with a family.

This is exactly what happened to Gina, rescued from Lago Patria. With one leg injured and severely dehydrated, Gina would not have lasted long on the streets.

Now she is safe and assisted by volunteers at the ARPAD animal shelter in Licola Mare, where she has been sterilized thanks to the support of Too Many Puppies and is waiting to be adopted by a family.

It is not always possible to guarantee life with a family for all dogs, and this is especially true for the older ones.

Take Anthony and Margot, two residents at the facility who had been sharing a cage in Licola Mare for years. We could not bear the idea that they should spend the last years of their lives in a pound, so we decided to look for a solution for them too.

We met with Francesca from the RIOT DOG Onlus “open shelter”, a special place where dogs can rediscover themselves and run free. The sanctuary, which is located in the hills of Bologna, has become Anthony and Margot’s new home.

Margot

Anthony is a splendid 15-year-old ‘super-old-age-pensioner’, who is finally enjoying a taste of freedom after so many years spent in kennels.

He is gradually regaining muscle tone, and is already walking better and able to go on 40-minute-long strolls every day!

Twelve-year-old Margot is a sprightly old lady, perky, playful and incredibly sociable with both dogs and people.

She is currently being considered for adoption by one of the volunteers of the association that is taking care of her.
