LIDYIA&#8217;S STORY <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Lidyia arrived at Bucharest airport after a lengthy journey from Ukraine escaping the war with Marisya, her 14-year-old cat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regrettably, the low cost airline would not allow her to board the plane with her pet. Refusing to accept the prospect of having to leave Marisya behind, Lidyia asked for help at the refugee reception point at the airport, where she was informed that <em>Save the Dogs<\/em> would come to her aid.<\/p>\n<p>While Lidyia boarded her plane to Germany, the team took Marisya to our Cernavoda shelter, so that we can take care of her while waiting to reunite her with her owner. We have already planned to take her to Germany at the same time as transporting other animals destined for adoption.<\/p>\n<p>Without the help of <em>Save the Dogs<\/em>, Lidyia would have had no other option than to be separated from her cat forever. We know that many other people are sadly finding themselves in this same situation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is not simply not acceptable, please help us to keep families together!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; header_3_font_size_phone=&#8221;30px&#8221; header_3_font_size_last_edited=&#8221;on|phone&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>INTERNATIONAL APPEAL TO LOW COST AIRLINES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>On 12 March <em>Save the Dogs<\/em>, together with seven other Romanian organizations, launched an international appeal to the low cost airlines, asking them to amend their transportation and boarding regulations, in order that animals and pets arriving from Ukraine may be taken on board with their owners in the cabin, with the only criteria being the safety and comfort of both the individuals and their pets during the flight, rather than adherence to the standard company policy.<\/p>\n<p>Following the launch of the appeal at an international level, <em>Save the Dogs<\/em> has decided to ask people to help apply further pressure by likewise demanding an amendment of <strong>Ryanair, Wizzair and Easyjet<\/strong>\u2019s boarding regulations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>They fled the country together, they need to stay together!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; Lidyia non si \u00e8 per\u00f2 arresa all\u2019idea di abbandonarla e ha chiesto informazioni al punto di accoglienza per i rifugiati in aeroporto, dove le hanno detto che <em>Save the Dogs<\/em> l\u2019avrebbe aiutata.<\/p>\r\n<p>Mentre Lidyia \u00e8 salita sull\u2019aereo diretto in Germania, il nostro team ha portato Marisya al rifugio di Cernavoda dove ci stiamo prendendo cura di lei in attesa di essere finalmente ricongiunta con la sua padrona. Marisya sar\u00e0 infatti portata in Germania dal nostro staff in coincidenza della partenza di alcuni dei nostri ospiti destinati all\u2019adozione.<\/p>\r\n<p>Senza l\u2019aiuto di <em>Save the Dogs<\/em>, Lidyia non avrebbe avuto altra scelta se non quella di separarsi per sempre dalla sua gatta.
