Soi Dog Foundation<\/em> has made it possible for Save the Dogs<\/em> to send hundreds of tons of dog and cat food to Ukraine. We distribute this food to hundreds of volunteers who give it to thousands of abandoned pets, as well as dogs and cats living in shelters. Additionally, Soi Dog<\/em> enabled us to donate hundreds of dog houses to protect cats and dogs from rain and snow and survive the winter.<\/p>\n

TASSO<\/em> is a well-known organization that manages the largest canine and feline pet registry in Germany.
Since 2018 it has fully sponsored the dog education activities taking place at Footprints of Joy<\/em>, in Romania.
Since 2019 it has also significantly supported other activities of our veterinary clinic, in particular the spay and neuter of dogs.<\/p>\n

Wir f\u00fcr Hunde in Not<\/em> is a non-profit organization founded in Germany in 2017 and entirely run by volunteers. It works to rescue stray, abused, or abandoned dogs, particularly in Romania and Spain, where it supports local shelters with concrete aid: food, veterinary care, spaying\/neutering, and adoption services. Every year, it organizes rehoming of dozens of animals to new families in Germany, following strict and transparent procedures and criteria before and after adoption. Con l\u2019aumento della povert\u00e0, il fenomeno dei senzatetto che condividono la propria vita con uno o pi\u00f9 quattrozampe \u00e8 cresciuto in modo esponenziale<\/strong> in tutte le grandi citt\u00e0 italiane ed europee.<\/p>

Non si tratta di persone che sfruttano gli animali per stimolare la generosit\u00e0 dei passanti ma di chi -per i motivi pi\u00f9 svariati - ha perso il lavoro e la rete delle relazioni famigliari e si rifugia nell\u2019unico rapporto stabile della propria vita: quello con il proprio cane.<\/strong><\/p>

Se da anni a Milano esistono organizzazioni che si occupano dei clochard, non c\u2019\u00e8 mai stato <\/strong>invece un progetto strutturato e continuativo che avesse come beneficiari i loro animali, oggi curati e nutriti grazie al buon cuore di singoli milanesi<\/strong> che si imbattono in queste storie difficili e se ne fanno carico.<\/p>

Ecco perch\u00e9 Save the Dogs<\/em> ha deciso di realizzare il primo progetto in Italia di monitoraggio e assistenza per gli animali di chi vive per strada nella citt\u00e0 meneghina, <\/strong>in collaborazione con Fondazione Progetto Arca Onlus<\/em>.<\/p>

Per strutturare l\u2019intervento ci siamo avvalsi della consulenza di StreetVet UK<\/em>, l\u2019associazione di veterinari inglesi che da alcuni anni opera in varie citt\u00e0 della Gran Bretagna e che non ha esitato a condividere con noi le proprie buone pratiche.<\/p>

IL NOSTRO INTERVENTO<\/strong><\/p>

Gli operatori di Save the Dogs<\/em> hanno il compito di monitorare i punti nevralgici della citt\u00e0 dove \u00e8 gi\u00e0 attivo Progetto Arca, per intercettare i bisogni dei senzatetto che vivono in strada con il loro amico a quattro zampe e creare un rapporto di fiducia. L\u2019obiettivo del progetto \u00e8 fornire a questi animali assistenza veterinaria, facendosi carico delle vaccinazioni, della sterilizzazione (delle femmine) e di eventuali cure complesse nel caso di riscontro di importanti problemi di salute.<\/p>

Viene, inoltre, fornito il kit del cane senzatetto contenente beni di prima necessit\u00e0 come, ad esempio, il cappottino in inverno e gli antiparassitari in estate, oltre a ciotola, guinzaglio, cibo, set di primo soccorso<\/strong> e tutto ci\u00f2 che serve per migliorare il benessere degli animali e dei loro compagni di vita.<\/p>
