When she arrived at our sanctuary, literally dragging herself to our front door, we knew nothing of her past history. But this little puppy\u2019s extreme exhaustion, apparent level of starvation and obvious anxiety were a clear signal that her short life had been a tough one so far.<\/p>\n
From the day we took her in, however, this puppy’s life changed forever <\/strong>\u2013 starting with her name. The formerly ravenous little dog was no longer invisible, alone and nameless. We called her Celeste, after the color of the sky on the day she arrived with us.<\/p>\n As is always the case when we welcome a new visitor to our shelter, we placed Celeste in the expert hands of our vets to give her a general health check<\/strong>, treated her for a nasty flea infestation and nursed her back to health, with plenty of nutritious food. Just a few weeks ago, however, her adoptive family were finally able to send us a beautiful photo of Celeste, who had seen the sea for the first time and was able to run freely along the beach<\/strong>!<\/p>\n Despite having a past of suffering and abandonment, thanks to the care she has received from the Save the Dogs<\/em> staff Celeste has been given the chance to lead a better life, surrounded by the love of her new family. A partire dal suo nome. Quella cagnolina affamata non era pi\u00f9 invisibile, sola e senza nome. L\u2019abbiamo chiamata Celeste, come il colore del cielo il giorno in cui \u00e8 arrivata.<\/p> Come sempre facciamo quando accogliamo un nuovo ospite al nostro rifugio, abbiamo messo Celeste nelle mani dei nostri veterinari per un controllo generale del suo stato di salute<\/strong>, l\u2019abbiamo curata per una brutta infestazione di pulci e l\u2019abbiamo rimessa in salute con tanto cibo.<\/p> Ci siamo resi conto sin da subito che la cucciola era un cane molto socievole, adatta ad essere accolta in una casa. Cos\u00ec abbiamo trovato per lei una famiglia nel ferrarese, una storica socia di Save the Dogs<\/em> che da alcuni mesi aveva perso la sua cagnolina rumena e che era rimasta colpita dalle foto della nuova arrivata postate sui social. Qualche settimana fa, finalmente, la sua famiglia adottiva ci ha mandato una bella foto di Celeste che per la prima volta ha visto il mare e ha potuto correre su una spiaggia<\/strong>!<\/p> Nonostante un passato di sofferenza e abbandono, grazie alle cure che ha ricevuto dallo staff di Save the Dogs<\/em> Celeste ha avuto la possibilit\u00e0 di una vita migliore circondata dall\u2019amore della sua nuova famiglia, un amore che siamo certi durer\u00e0 per sempre e che Celeste contraccambier\u00e0 con altrettanto entusiasmo e gratitudine.<\/p> Questo \u00e8 quello che pu\u00f2 fare un lascito testamentario: donare la speranza di una nuova vita<\/strong> ai tanti cani che come Celeste senza l\u2019aiuto di Save the Dogs<\/em> sarebbero condannati ad una vita di stenti e di sofferenze.<\/p> Scopri come un lascito testamentario a Save the Dogs<\/em> sia una vera promessa di speranza per cani come Celeste. <\/strong><\/p> \u00a0<\/p>
We realized from the outset that this puppy was very sociable and well suited to being welcomed by a family.
