Our campaign to help reduce the numbers of stray dogs also involves monitoring strays living in the area and raising awareness among the local population. There is a common thread linking our activities<\/strong> in Cernavoda, Romania, and the work carried out by our partners in southern Italy. A good example of this is the story of Nuvola Naccarato and Kora the dog.<\/p>\nApproaching Kora and her puppies was not an easy contemplation. This young crossbreed lives in a remote rural area in the province of Cosenza, Calabria, and she is extremely wary<\/strong> of humans.<\/p>\n Kora lives in the wild, and was cared for by one of the local residents who ensured she always had everything she needed. When he found out about our TOO MANY PUPPIES program, he got in touch with our partner Nuvola Naccarato, who is President of the Amici Animali FEF association, and asked for his help.<\/p>\n As part of TOO MANY PUPPIES, we are able to offer sterilization programs free of charge<\/strong> and are raising awareness about responsible pet management<\/strong>, with an aim of finding effective solutions to the high numbers of stray animals.<\/p>\n The kind man\u2019s prime concern was in fact for the good health and well-being of Kora and her young. Due to the hardships of their life on the streets, four of the puppies had not survived, and he feared something might happen to her and the other little pups.<\/p>\n Nuvola immediately stepped in to look after the surviving puppies and find good homes for them. In the meantime, the good Samaritan helped him to approach and secure Kora. Questa giovane meticcia vive in una zona rurale in provincia di Cosenza, in Calabria, ed \u00e8 molto diffidente<\/strong> nei confronti degli esseri umani.<\/p> Si tratta di un cane libero, accudito sul territorio da un signore che si assicura abbia sempre ci\u00f2 di cui ha bisogno. Quando \u00e8 venuto a conoscenza del nostro programma NON UNO DI TROPPO ha contattato la nostra partner locale Nuvola Naccarato, presidente di Amici Animali FEF, per chiederle un aiuto.<\/p> Grazie a NON UNO DI TROPPO offriamo sterilizzazioni gratuite<\/strong> e sensibilizziamo la popolazione sulla gestione responsabile dei propri animali<\/strong>, con lo scopo di contrastare efficacemente il randagismo.<\/p> La sua preoccupazione, infatti, era proprio la salute di Kora e dei suoi piccoli. A causa delle sofferenze della vita sulla strada, quattro di loro non sono sopravvissuti e temeva potesse succedere qualcosa anche a lei e agli altri piccoli.<\/p> Nuvola \u00e8 intervenuta immediatamente per mettere in sicurezza i cuccioli sopravvissuti e trovare loro una sistemazione. In cambio, il signore l\u2019ha aiutata ad avvicinare e prendere Kora.
