Abbiamo trovato Amelia<\/strong> in un villaggio della campagna rumena, dove la povert\u00e0 \u00e8 ancora profonda e i cani vengono spesso tenuti a catena per tutta la vita. Era legata ad una catena sotto il sole cocente, visibilmente esausta, pelle e ossa. Accanto a lei, i suoi cuccioli nati da poco: gi\u00e0 infestati dai parassiti, senza riparo adeguato e cure. Da quel momento, \u00e8 cominciata la rinascita.<\/strong> Mentre si trovava ancora in catene, Amelia ha conosciuto una coppia italiana che seguiva da tempo il nostro lavoro; sono venuti fino in Romania per incontrarla. Si sono conosciuti e hanno scelto di aspettarla, mentre si riprendeva e si prendeva cura dei suoi piccoli. <\/strong>For the first time ever, basic requirements will be established for the majority of cat and dog breeders, which include adequate nutrition, veterinary care, and protection from abuse. This is a vital step in combating illegal breeding practices and the so-called \u201cpuppy mills\u201d.<\/li>\n
<\/strong>All dogs and cats, not just those intended for sale, will be required to be identified and registered. This system will make it significantly harder for illegal breeders to operate in secrecy.<\/li>\n
<\/strong>The Parliament has paved the way by adopting a \u2018positive list\u2019 and defining which species can be kept as pets, ensuring better safety and well-being for the animals.<\/li>\n
<\/strong>A vote has been passed which bans the sale of dogs and cats in pet stores in order to reduce suffering and discourage irresponsible breeding practices.<\/li>\n
