On 19 November, our President spoke at the international conference \u2018Responsible Pet Ownership, From Legislation to Action\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, organised by Purina Europe<\/em><\/strong> together with the RSPCA<\/em><\/strong> and the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE)<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sara Turetta presented Save the Dogs<\/em>‘ activities in Romania and reflected on the positive impact that the first European law for the protection of dogs and cats could have if it were approved in a form similar to that proposed by the EU Parliament.<\/p>\n

Save the Dogs<\/em> was one of three non-profit organisations invited to speak, while participants came from Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Hungary (as well as Romania).<\/p>\n

There was great harmony in the views expressed by all stakeholders present on the new law, a fundamental first step for the protection of companion animals<\/strong>, but with some important gaps that will need to be filled in the coming years.<\/p>\n

Proseguire in questa direzione significa non solo fornire un servizio concreto alla comunit\u00e0, ma contribuire a un cambiamento culturale duraturo sulla cura e la responsabilit\u00e0 verso gli animali.
