At the end of 2025 we saved 6 horses from a serious situation of mistreatment.
They were living in mud and manure, in terrible hygienic conditions.
We brought them to Footprints of Joy, and subjected them to urgent veterinary care.
Today they are safe.
But saving them was only the first step.
Now we need you to build their future together!

THE NEW HOME OF BRUNO, BEPPE, PAMELA, PERLA, PINA AND PATTY
Since their arrival, they have been secured and constantly followed by veterinarians.
They are now recovering, but to welcome them into the area dedicated to horses and ensure them a dignified life, new spaces are needed.
Our shelter already hosts 20 horses rescued from abuse and abandonment and today it is no longer sufficient.
With your help we can:
- create larger and safer spaces, where the horses can move freely;
- build a new hay barn and new feeding troughs;
- set up a veterinary stall for care and rehabilitation;
- purchase a small tractor to transport feed within our sanctuary.
To do all this,
we need to raise €50,000 by March 10.

Save the Dogs and other Animals Foundation works to combat stray animal overpopulation and improve the quality of life for owned dogs and cats, particularly in socially disadvantaged contexts. Founded in 2002, Save the Dogs has been operating in Romania for over 20 years, where the issue of stray animals remains a serious social problem.
Since 2019, it has also been active in Southern Italy with a free spay/neuter program in collaboration with local associations and veterinarians. And since 2021, it has launched the first assistance program for the dogs of homeless people in the city of Milan.
