Minnie, rescued from the streets, and a fresh start in Sweden

When we found Minnie in a shantytown outside Cernavoda, she was weak, unresponsive, and clearly petrified. All her puppies didn’t make it, and she was left all alone.. During her first days at the shelter, she spent hours just staring into space. She was in good health, but was overwhelmed by sadness. She carried a deep sadness within her, coupled with a sense of mistrust.

Our staff patiently and carefully nursed her back to health, and day by day, Minnie started to thrive once more. She discovered the comfort of human contact, of play, and the joys of simply being alive.

As time passed, the immense pain she had carried inside her slowly faded. Today, Minnie has begun a new chapter of her life.

She has been adopted, and now lives in Sweden with a family that adores her, a young girl with whom she shares a deep bond, and a new four-legged companion with whom she shares walks and moments of sheer happiness. Minnie will never be alone again.

It’s stories like hers that remind us that, even in the darkest times, hope can be reignited. Every animal we rescue has their life rewritten and their destiny transformed, thanks to the support of people like you.
