Pato’s journey from life at the shelter to a loving new home

A few months ago, we introduced you to Pato, the deaf puppy who we picked up on the streets, bewildered and all alone. Today, we are delighted to share his happy ending: he has been adopted by a family!

After receiving care at the Save the Dogs shelter and being gently prepared for his new life with a family, Pato now lives in a spacious house with a garden on the outskirts of Bucharest, together with two other four-legged companions. He can run around freely and sleep in a bed next to his owners, and wakes up every morning feeling safe and loved.

The story of his adoption is more than just heart-warming news — it’s also a sign of positive change. In Romania, where the future of stray animals was completely undervalued 23 years ago, today an increasing number of families are choosing to open their homes to dogs like Pato.
