Too Many Puppies

Too Many Puppies Grant

€40,000 to prevent stray animal populations in Central and Southern Italy

Preventing stray animal populations starts before the situation becomes an emergency. That is why, in 2026, Save the Dogs, together with Fondazione Squadra 4 Zampe and with the support of Empethy Srl Società Benefit, launched its first national call for applications to fund sterilisation and microchipping programs run by organisations in Central and Southern Italy.

Sterilisation is one of the most effective ways to prevent animal overpopulation and, over time, reduce the number of animals living on the streets or entering shelters.

The first edition: 2026

The response exceeded expectations: 58 associations applied for a share of the €40,000 available.

Six organisations were selected and will carry out local sterilisation programmes over the coming months with support from the Fund.

Companies and foundations, help us grow the Sterilisation Fund

The applications showed that the need to invest in prevention far exceeds the resources currently available.

You can help us support more associations and expand the next edition of the grant program.

If you represent a company, foundation or organisation interested in making a tangible, lasting impact on animal welfare, please get in touch.
