Swiss ambassadors visit Footprints of Joy in Romania

We were delighted to welcome Swiss Ambassadors Massimo Baggi and Marcela Baggi Junkova to Footprints of Joy in Cernavodă.

During their ninety-minute visit, the two diplomats enjoyed spending time getting to know our dogs, cats, donkeys and horses, while learning how this haven for animals has been made possible, thanks in part to the generosity of around one thousand Swiss donors, who have been valued supporters of Save the Dogs for many years.

Their visit also highlighted a special connection. Ambassador Baggi comes from Bellinzona, a city with which we have shared a close relationship for more than twenty years. Thanks to our longstanding partnership with the Bellinzona Animal Protection Society, led by Emanuele Besomi, many of our rescued dogs, and even a few cats, have found loving homes over the years.
