Save the Dogs and animal rights take center stage at La Versiliana

It was a very special evening for Save the Dogs on 17 August, when we took part in the 47th edition of La Versiliana, Pietrasanta’s prestigious cultural festival.

Our President, Sara Turetta, joined Sonia Sarno, well-known TG1 journalist and long-standing supporter of dogs’ rights, for a conversation looking back over the past 25 years of Save the Dogs’ work in Italy and Romania.

The bad weather may have forced the event indoors, but it certainly didn’t keep people away. A large audience came to hear Sara and Sonia speak, including many of our loyal donors, who were keen to join us and share this special occasion.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers of La Versiliana and to Sonia Sarno for giving us this valuable opportunity to talk about our work and, above all, to keep the issue of dogs’ rights firmly in the spotlight.
