Sara Turetta in Germany
A week of meetings, partnerships and animal welfareOne year after presenting the German edition of her autobiography Freudepfoten: A memoir at the Frankfurt International Book Fair, Sara Turetta, founder and president of Save the Dogs, returned to Germany for a week of meetings in Hesse and Bavaria.
The trip provided an opportunity to meet people who share their lives with dogs from Romania, strengthen ties with TASSO, a long-standing partner of the Foundation, and meet with the German press to talk about Save the Dogs’ work.
In Munich, Sara also attended an event connected with the activities of the Jane Goodall Institute Deutschland, which continues Jane Goodall’s scientific and environmental legacy. There, she met Mary Lewis, the primatologist’s long-standing personal assistant, who now represents her office internationally.
The visit helped strengthen existing relationships and create new opportunities for dialogue with people and organisations working in different fields but sharing a commitment to animal welfare.
