Isotta’s New Life

Story of the month

Last month we told you about Isotta, who arrived at Footprints of Joy when she was just a puppy. She had been found on the street, lethargic and with a severe injury to her hind leg. Without prompt medical intervention, she likely would not have survived.

After the amputation, she began her personalized recovery program, learning to walk using just one hind leg. Today, having three legs doesn’t stop her from doing anything.

Isotta proved right from the start to be a sociable puppy, always looking for interaction and someone to play with.

For Isotta, we searched for and found a special family who could understand her needs and patiently support her in her new life in a home. We found them in Sweden through our twenty-year partner, Hundhjalpen, and in a few days, Isotta will set off for her new life.

Isotta’s story is the result of a team effort that begins in the operating room and the clinic’s inpatient wards, continues with the staff in the adoption department, and concludes with those handling all the paperwork so that Isotta can leave Romania.

This commitment is made possible by the generosity of those who choose to actively support Save the Dogs’ mission.
