Ensuring veterinary care for the dogs of the homeless in Milan is one of the key missions of the Friends on the Streets project, which is dedicated to caring for animals living on the city streets with their human companions. The project is being further bolstered thanks to the financial support of the Dr. Fulvia Anelli Fund, which will help us cover these expenses for all the couples we assist on an ongoing basis.

The establishment of the Dr. Fulvia Anelli Fund

This Fund has been established in memory of Dr. Fulvia Anelli, with the goal of continuing the philanthropic activities she carried out during her lifetime.

Doctor Fulvia was not only a great lover of animals, but she also believed in the importance of preserving the special relationship that binds humans to their pets, regardless of culture or social status.

Support for the Friends on the Streets project

Her passion has led to the fund created in her name supporting our Friends on the Streets, Companions for Life project, taking care of the animals belonging to homeless people living on the streets of Lombardy’s capital city.

Our street unit assists those living on the streets by providing pet food and basic necessities, such as leashes, harnesses and dog bowls, free of charge. In addition, we also carry out vaccinations and install the animals with microchips, as well as organizing free sterilizations in collaboration with the City of Milan and the ATS Veterinary Service.
